I am a photographer based out of Cumberland in the lovely Comox Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Originally from southern Ontario, Canada, I earned a Bachelor of Engineering Physics and Society from McMaster University in Hamilton, and spent ten years living in Ottawa. I am a refugee from the high-tech industry. A couple of years ago, I realized there was more to life than bits and bytes, so I packed my bags and headed west. It was during my year of travel through the US and Canada that my photographic journey really began. I was inspired to capture vistas, details, and wildlife through the viewfinder of my camera.
Fast forward a couple of years, and after completing the Professional Photography Certificate Program at North Island College in Courtenay, I still take landscape and nature photographs, but the program has introduced me to genres of photography that I had never considered: architecture, product, fine art, portraiture, etc. What I really enjoy, though, is taking pictures of awesome people doing awesome things in awesome places.
