Checkpoint 6 was at Sykes Bridge, where racers came down off of Bear Buns, crossed the bridge, then descended down Off Broadway. The action at this checkpoint was fast and furious! So intent were racers on the terrain that some almost missed the turnoff to the bridge, despite me pointing and yelling the way. And woe to those who did not heed my warning to walk on the bridge, which was slippery from the rain, and is bouncy at the best of times!
